Holiday Special: Restorative Class
For practitioners of all skill levels, some prior
yoga instruction is helpful. Relax, rejuvenate,
and restore your body & mind during the busy
holiday season. Postures are given according
to skill level, experience & ability.
Level I Beginning the practice of yoga
For Active Adults new to Yoga . Learn basic fundamentals of the yoga asanas, principles of alignment, yoga philosophy, & relaxation. Shoulderstand is introduced. Plan to repeat many times before moving into Level 1-2. Classes are vigorous. No Medical or Health concerns.
Level 2 Prerequisite: 3 years Iyengar Yoga
For Continuing Iyengar Yoga students.
Classes are vigorous. Advanced inversions are taught. Students are practicing on their own to keep up with class pace. Students can hold a 5 minute Sarvangasana with ease.
No Medical or Health problems, concerns.
Level I-2 Prerequisite: 2 years Iyengar Yoga
For students with minimum 1 year of experience.
Headstand (sirsasana) is taught. No Medical or Health concerns. Class is vigorous with a faster pace than Level I. Students are expected to practice at home & learn the Sanskrit names of
Level I asanas. Not for beginners.
Level 3 Prerequisite: 4 years Iyengar Yoga
Advanced Iyengar Yoga students only. Students must practice at home. Complex Inversions, backbends are taught. Students are comfortable with and can hold sirsasana away from the wall.
